I married in Seoul, Korea and came to the United States with my 5 year-old daughter in 1965. At that time, I could only carry $100 from Korea to the United States. So my husband and I both worked days and nights from Jantiorial works to painting, and eventually moved up to a little better job.

I am not sure why, somehow the majority of Koreans have built their bases in New York, and have become wealthy upper middle class Americans. I think I am one of them. Koreans have driven to succeed. We have lived through the tough life in Korea, so we are accustomed to live through the tough environment in here as well I think.
